Peter Beck (journalist)

Peter Beck (born June 15, 1958 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German journalist, editor at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and head of the service at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung .

Life

Beck grew up in Obertshausen in the Offenbach district and graduated from the commercial high school there. He gave up his original wish to become a teacher in favor of training as a publishing clerk at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He then studied political science , journalism and ethnology in Mainz and Frankfurt. During the semester break, he worked in the screen text editorial team of the Frankfurter Allgemeine. From 1985 he became a permanent employee there. Since 1988 he has been an editor at the chief of duty, meanwhile he is himself chief of the service of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.
