Peter Callesen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Callesen (* 1967 in Herning ) is a Danish visual artist and writer .

As a sculptor , he mainly works with the medium of paper. He creates objects that are extremely filigree made of paper. He has mastered the techniques of paper cutting , but extends it insofar as the paper that has been cut out is artfully formed and forms a unit with the remaining paper.

In addition, Callesen works as a concept artist . Many of his performances and installations use the medium of paper. So he built several oversized paper boats in which he then moved on the water himself.
