Peter Christian Jacobsen
Peter Christian Jacobsen (born April 2, 1936 in Greifswald ) is a German Middle Latin philologist .
Life
Jacobsen received his doctorate from the University of Cologne with a thesis on the quirinalia of Metellus von Tegernsee (1965). He completed his habilitation there with a work on the chronicler Flodoard von Reims : His life and his poetry "De triumphis Christi" (1972). From the summer semester of 1988 to the summer semester of 2002 he was professor of Latin Philology of the Middle Ages and Modern Times at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg .
