Peter Diamond

Peter Diamond (born August 10, 1929 , † March 27, 2004 ) was a British actor and probably the best-known stuntman in England. He has appeared in over a thousand film and television productions as a stuntman and combat trainer. Diamond also trained stuntmen at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art .

In the 1966 thriller The Puppet Killer by Freddie Francis he had a small role as a scrap dealer. His best-known film role was that of one of the Sand People who Luke Skywalker in Star Wars (1977), the first part of the Star Wars film series attacked. Diamond also worked on the other Star Wars films in the first trilogy - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983).

Well-known other film productions in which Diamond starred as a stuntman were American Werewolf (1981), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Highlander - There Can Only Be One (1986), in which he also acted in the role of Iman Fasil and the first immortal to lose his head. Diamond also appeared several times as an actor and stuntman on the television series Doctor Who .

Diamond died of a heart attack .
