Peter Enders (politician, 1942)

Peter Enders (born December 7, 1942 in Leipzig ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1994 to 2002 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

After completing a commercial apprenticeship and working for several years as a commercial clerk, Enders made up his Abitur through a second education path and took up a teaching degree for vocational schools at the Ruhr University in Bochum . Enders worked for 18 years as a teacher and most recently as headmaster at vocational schools.

Enders has been a member of the SPD since 1964. He was elected to the Kamp-Lintfort City Council in 1989 and was a member of it until 1996. From November 10, 1994 to October 17, 2002, and thus for two electoral terms, he was a member of the German Bundestag , into which he moved through the direct mandate of the Wesel II constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia .

After leaving the Bundestag, the former teacher returned to school and became head of a vocational college in Duisburg .

Enders is Protestant, married and has three children.
