Peter Erler
Peter Erler (* 1961 in Weißenfels ) is a German historian. His research focuses on the history of German emigrants in the Soviet Union as well as Soviet special camps and political processes in the Soviet Zone / GDR .
Life
Peter Erler studied history and education at the Kuban State University in Krasnodar from 1980 to 1985 . Since 1992 he has been a member of the SED State Research Association and member of the memorial in the former Stasi prison in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen . He is also a member of the editorial board of the journal of the SED State Research Association.
