Peter Georg von Puttkamer

Peter Georg von Puttkamer (born January 12, 1714 in Görshagen , † August 22, 1775 in Aken ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of garrison regiment No. 4 and heir of Görshagen and Schlackow .

His parents were Joachim Heinrich von Puttkamer (* January 12, 1671; † June 4, 1730) and his wife Barbara Elisabeth von Puttkamer (* February 18, 1684; † December 16, 1763) from the Schlackow family.

Life

He joined the Cadet Corps in 1731 and was transferred to Infantry Regiment No. 31 as a flag junior in 1734 . From there he was transferred to Fusilier Regiment No. 35 (Prince Heinrich) as an ensign on October 15, 1740 . On December 2, 1743 he was second lieutenant, on June 5, 1751 Premier Lieutenant and on October 29, 1756 staff captain. On February 23, 1757 during the Seven Years' War he became a captain, received the Billerbeck grenadier company and fought in the siege of Prague . In 1759 during the battle of Kunersdorf he was shot in the right hand. On March 6, 1760 he was promoted to major and on November 3 of that year he fought in the battle of Torgau . In 1762 he was at the siege of Schweidnitz .

After the war he became a lieutenant colonel on August 11, 1767 and a colonel on June 7, 1771. On May 23, 1772, he received the No. 4 garrison regiment . He died unmarried in 1775 of a bone ulcer.

In his will he bequeathed his goods to his liege cousins ​​and 500 thalers to his four servants. The rest fell to Johann Friedrich Limpius , the son of a sergeant whom he had taken in for education.
