Peter Giles (rock musician)
Peter Giles (born June 17, 1944 in Portsmouth , England ) is a British rock musician .
The bassist and singer founded the band Giles, Giles and Fripp with his brother Michael Giles as drummer and Robert Fripp as guitarist in the second half of the 1960s , and in 1968 they released their only album The Cheerful Insanity of Giles, Giles and Fripp .
Michael Giles and Robert Fripp gathered other musicians in 1969 to continue with the newly formed band King Crimson ; while Peter Giles was replaced by Greg Lake . But he played as a guest musician on King Crimson's second album In the Wake of Poseidon in 1970 .
In 2002 he teamed up with other former members of King Crimson in the 21st Century Schizoid Band .
