Peter Gomm

Peter Gomm (born May 26, 1959 in Interlaken , resident in Zollikon ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ) and a former member of the government of the Canton of Solothurn .

Life

Gomm studied from 1978 to 1983 at the University of Basel Law and graduated with a licentiate from. In 1986 he acquired the patent as Solothurn advocate and notary . In the same year he was clerk at the higher court of the canton of Solothurn for two years , before he became part-time district court attorney of Olten-Gösgen (until 2001). From 1997 to 2005 he was also a part-time substitute judge at the administrative court of the canton of Solothurn. Before he was elected to the government council, he was an independent lawyer and notary in Olten from 1988 to 2005, specializing in liability, victim assistance and social security law. He is co-editor and co-author of the commentary on the Victims Aid Act (Verlag Stämpfli, Bern, 1995, 2005, 2009).

Gomm lives in Olten , is married and has two grown children.

politics

In 1989 Gomm became a member of the municipal parliament of the city of Olten; from 1998 to 2001 he presided over the SP parliamentary group. Since 2001 he has been a member of the management of the SP in the canton of Solothurn. From 2001 to 2005 he was also a member of the Cantonal Council of the Canton of Solothurn. From August 2005 to July 2017, Gomm was a member of the government council of the Canton of Solothurn and headed the Department of the Interior. He chaired the conference of cantonal social directors from 2011 to 2017.
