Peter Gross-Paaß

Peter Groß-Paaß (born November 29, 1968 in Ratingen ) is a former German football player .

career

Groß-Paaß came from the youth department of the Düsseldorf Panther and joined the men's team in 1986. The player used in defense played for the Rhinelander until 2001 and won the German championship title with the team in 1992, 1994 and 1995. In 1995 they also won the Eurobowl . The 1.88 meter tall player made it into the World League of American Football , where he was a member of the Rhein Fire team in addition to playing for the Panthers in 1995, 1996 and 1997 . In June 1997 Groß-Paaß was in the World Bowl with Rhein Fire , but they lost the match 24:38 against the Barcelona Dragons .

After his time with the Düsseldorf Panthers he strengthened the Cologne Crocodiles in 2002 and the Essen team Assindia Cardinals in 2003 (both in the first division).

In the colors of the German national team, Groß-Paaß was third in the European Championship in 1989, and the same result was achieved at the European Championships in 1993. At the EM 2000 he won silver with Germany, in 2001 he became European champion. He was also part of the German squad at the 2003 World Cup, which ended in third place.

As a trainer, Groß-Paaß joined the Düsseldorf Panther staff in 2013 and took on the task of looking after the defensive line .
