Peter Hansen (politician, 1929)

Peter Hansen (born October 16, 1929 in Münster ) is a German doctor and politician ( Alliance 90 / The Greens ).

Hansen passed his Abitur in 1950 in Vechta . He then began studying medicine and psychology . After completing his studies, he began his time as a medical assistant. Between 1958 and 1962 he worked as an assistant doctor in the children's clinic in Wuppertal . He then became a senior physician in the municipal children's hospital in Villingen . In 1965 Hansen became the chief physician of the children's department at St. Josef Hospital in Oberhausen- Terkrade. Since 1968 he worked as a pediatrician in a group practice in Cloppenburg. In 1976 he began as an active member of the citizens' initiative to protect the environment in Cloppenburg. He then became a member of the GREEN party in 1981. Hansen became a member of the district board here in 1985.

Public offices

Hansen was a councilor in the city council of the city of Cloppenburg between 1981 and 1986 . He was also elected a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament during the eleventh electoral period from June 21, 1986 to June 20, 1990. In the state parliament he was deputy chairman of the parliamentary group DIE GRÜNEN between June 17, 1987 and July 5, 1989.
