Peter Haubner

Peter Haubner (born January 2, 1960 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and member of the National Council . From 2008 to 2017 Haubner was Secretary General of the Austrian Economic Association . Since 2018 he has been chairman of the board of the Austrian cooperative association

education and profession

Haubner attended elementary school in St. Andrä from 1966 to 1970 and the Real Gymnasium in Salzburg from 1970 to 1978 . After graduating from high school, he did his military service in 1979.

From 1979 to 1981 Haubner worked as a customer advisor at Oberbank Salzburg, and from 1981 to 1985 he worked in marketing at Erste Allgemeine Versicherung. In 1985 he moved to the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce , where he was employed until 1994. Haubner then took over the management of an advertising agency until 1995 and again worked for the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce between 1996 and 1998. During this time he was, among other things, active in the management of the Olympic application for the city of Salzburg. Between 1998 and 1999 Haubner ran a freelance advertising agency. He then joined the marketing management team at Großglockner Hochalpenstraßen AG , for which he worked until 2004.

Peter Haubner has been chairman of the board of the Austrian cooperative association since 2018 . Haubner is also the managing director of Haubner & Haubner KG, which has three trade licenses: management consulting, advertising agency and furnishing consulting.

Since 1983 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KSHV Lodronia Salzburg in the ÖCV . In 2014 he was accepted into the Brotherhood of Santa Maria dell'Anima ("Anima Brotherhood").

politics

Between 2000 and 2004, Haubner was deputy head of the specialist group in the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce (specialist group of the Salzburg leisure activities). Since 2001 he has represented the ÖVP in the Austrian National Council. From 2004 to 2005 Haubner took over the management of the Salzburg People's Party. From 2006 to 2008 he was district chairman of the Salzburg City Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Peter Haubner has been chairman of the Salzburg City Economic Association since 2006. From 2011 to 2013 Haubner was energy spokesman for the Austrian People's Party, and since 2011 he has been economic spokesman. In addition, he has been the deputy club chairman of the ÖVP in parliament since 2008. He was Secretary General of the Austrian Economic Association until the end of 2017.

In July 2019 he succeeded Angelika Winzig as budget spokesman in the ÖVP parliamentary club .

Sports

Peter Haubner was Vice President from 2002 and President of the Sportunion from 2008 . Hartwig Löger succeeded him in this role in 2014 .
