Peter Juretzko

Peter Juretzko (born October 17, 1953 ) is a former German football player who played for Stahl Riesa from 1977 to 1981 in the GDR Oberliga, the top division in GDR football . Juretzko is a nine-time GDR junior national player.

Athletic career

At the beginning of 1971, Peter Juretzko was appointed to the squad of the GDR junior national team as a player in the company sports association (BSG) Stahl Riesa . After he moved to Dynamo Dresden in the summer of 1971 , he made nine international appearances as a midfielder in the junior team between July and October 1971. Once he was successful as a goalscorer. In the men's area Juretzko was already in the 1970/71 season in the second-rate GDR league team Dynamo Dresden II in four point games to use.

After that, the 1.75 m tall Juretzko only appeared again in GDR-wide football in the 1972/73 season as a player for GDR league team Stahl Riesa with two point matches. After he had only been used in the second team of BSG Stahl in the following seasons, he appeared in the league for the first time in the 1976/77 season. For Stahl Riesa he played nine point games, in which he was a midfielder four times in the starting line-up in the second half of the season. After the descent of Riesa Juretzko was involved with 14 GDR league games with three goals and two inserts in the promotion round to the league in the immediate rise. There Stahl Riesa was able to claim three more league seasons. In 1978/79 (18 missions, 1 goal) and 1980/81 (16/1) he was part of the expanded player base, was initially used as a midfielder and later in defense. In the 1979/80 season he was injured so badly on the first matchday that he could only play three games as a substitute towards the end of the season. 1981 Stahl Riesa rose again from the GDR league and needed two seasons to return to the league. Juretzko completed only 26 of the 44 point games. For the 1983/84 season he was still nominated for the league team, but was no longer used there as in the following years.
