Peter Küchly

Peter Küchly (born January 7, 1836 in Saint-Louis (Moselle) , † April 19, 1908 in Saarburg ) was a Catholic clergyman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Küchly attended grammar school in Pont à Mousson , where he pursued literary studies, and the seminary in Nancy (philosophical and theological studies). After that he was first vicar in Dagsburg from 1860 to 1863, vicar in Saarburg from 1863 to 1865, pastor in Gunzweiler from 1865 to 1871, pastor in Dagsburg from 1871 to 1888 and then archpriest and canon of honor in Saarburg.

From 1890 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine 15 ( Saarburg , Château-Salins ). Küchly was a member of the Alsace-Lorraine Protest Party.
