Peter King, 4th Earl of Lovelace
Peter Malcolm King, 4th Earl of Lovelace (March 30, 1905 , † December 4, 1964 ) was a British nobleman and politician who was the Earl of Lovelace from 1929 to 1964 as a member of the House of Lords .
Life
King was the son of Lionel King, 3rd Earl of Lovelace and his wife Edith Anson, a daughter of Thomas Anson, 2nd Earl of Lichfield . After the death of his father on October 5, 1929, he inherited from this 4th Earl of Lovelace and the title subordinate to this title of 4th Viscount Ockham , of Ockham in the County of Surrey, and 11th Baron King , of Ockham in the County of Surrey. This also made him a member of the House of Lords, to which he belonged until his death in 1964.
The Earl of Lovelace was married twice. His first marriage was on March 30, 1939, Doris Evison, who died on September 20, 1940 with no children. In his second marriage, on June 18, 1951, he married Lis Manon Transö, the widow of Baron Carl Fredrik von Blixen-Finecke . From this marriage his only son Peter Axel William Locke King emerged, who after his death inherited the title of 5th Earl of Lovelace and the subordinate titles.
