Peter Lehmann (* 1943 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean actor and dramaturge.

Life

Lehmann was born the son of German exiles in Santiago de Chile. After graduating from high school and studying engineering, he studied acting at the theater school of the Universidad de Chile .

From 1964 until the coup in Chile in 1973 he worked as an actor in various theater, film and television productions. He was able to escape and has lived in Germany ever since. Here he lived as an assistant director with acting obligations at the Städtische Bühnen in Frankfurt am Main , worked as an ensemble member of the Theater am Turm , was a guest of the Goethe-Institut Santiago de Chile, and took part in a two-month tour through the People's Republic of China with the plays Der gute Mensch von Sezuan ( Bert Brecht ), and The Necessary and the Superfluous at the invitation of the Goethe Institute in Beijing.

Works

  • Development of the monologue The strange discovery of Fernando Perez , the story of a Chilean exile in the FRG. Over 300 performances in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden and Colombia. There were around 850 performances worldwide.
  • The other dog , an adaptation of experiences from a trip to China that was created together with the Wu Wei group.
  • Adaptation and staging by El Bataraz based on a novel by Mauricio Rosencof
