Peter Markland
Peter Richard Markland (born April 13, 1951 in Bolton , Lancashire ) is an English chess player . He was a member of the English team at the 1972 and 1974 Chess Olympiads and at the 1973 European Team Championship .
His Elo rating is 2390 (as of July 2016), but he is listed as inactive because he has not played a rated game since 1974. He reached his highest rating of 2510 in July 1971, when he was at the top of the English rating list.
