Peter Milger

Peter Milger (born July 11, 1937 ; † February 14, 2019 ) was a German journalist and book and television author.

He studied physics, sociology and history. From the very beginning he was a member of the Club Voltaire in Frankfurt am Main , 30 years in the sponsoring association and from 1985 its chairman for three years. From the end of the 1980s he was best known for documentaries about the Crusades .

Among other things, he wrote:

  • The crusades. War in the Name of God (13-part film series, 1988)
  • The Thirty-Year War. Against the country and its people
  • The fall of Columbus
  • Northwest Passage. The short but deadly sea route to China or the Society of Adventurers, Cologne 1994

He died on February 14, 2019. The urn was buried in a memorial service on February 27 in the main cemetery in Frankfurt am Main.
