Gerth Geisler

Haab Gerth Sakæus Geisler (born November 2, 1882 in Attu , † November 24, 1934 in Imerissoq ) was a Greenlandic trade administrator and councilor .

Gerth Geisler was the son of the senior catechist Jakob Niels Nikolaj Geisler and his second wife Else Margrethe Augustine Cecilie. He worked as Udsteds administrator in his hometown. There he was elected to the North Greenland State Council in 1923 . With the exception of the first session in 1927, he also sat in the regional council in the following legislative period until 1932. Later he was Udsteds administrator in Imerissoq, where he died of tuberculosis in 1934 at the age of 52.
