Kristoffer Salomonsen was from Nanortalik . From 1888 and 1889 as well as from 1900 to 1902 there are no church records that could provide information about his birth or confirmation. During the 1901 census, he lived as a foster son with another family. At the census of 1911 he was young married to Sofie Klara Sabine, who was a year younger than him, but there is no entry for a wedding in the church register. Its origin is therefore unknown.
