David Kristiansen

Samuel Johan Lars David Kristiansen (born August 31, 1903 in Kangersuatsiaq , † January 8, 1950 in Upernavik ) was a Greenland councilor .

David Kristiansen was the son of the hunter Karl Ole Peter Kristiansen (1880–1913) and his wife Alene Marie Abigael Karlsen (1881–?). He was a cousin of Knud Kristiansen (1918–1989). David Kristiansen was a well-known hunter in the entire area, best known for his flair for good fishing grounds and who shared this knowledge with his colleagues. On the side he brought the mail from Upernavik to Uummannaq . From 1933 to 1938 he was a member of the National Council of North Greenland . He died in Upernavik Hospital in early 1950, leaving behind his wife and daughter.
