Karl Lyberth (politician, 1894)

Karl Ole Wilhelm Lyberth (born September 23, 1894 in Maniitsoq , † December 25, 1977 in Qeqertarsuaq ) was a Greenland state councilor .

Karl Lyberth was the son of the cooper Holger Jens Peter Lyberth (1866–1899) and his wife Mikol Maria Sophie Møller (1870–1936). Born in Maniitsoq, he moved to Qaarsuarsuk at a young age , where he worked as a miner in the local mine. From 1923 to 1926 he was a member of the North Greenland State Council , but only took part in the first two meetings. In 1925 his constituency was not represented and in 1926 Jonas Cortzen replaced him. Karl Lyberth was the grandfather of the writer Hans Anthon Lynge (* 1945). He died in Qeqertarsuaq in late 1977 at the age of 83.
