Johannes Pjetursson

Peter Frederik Eskild Johannes Pjetursson (born August 2, 1869 in Appat , † September 23, 1932 in Ikerasaarsuk ) was a Greenland councilor .

Johannes Pjetursson was the son of the Icelandic boat operator Gudbrandur Pjetursson (Guðbrandur Pétursson; around 1830–1889) and his Greenlandic wife Antonie Ane Inger Schultz (1842–1890), daughter of Eskild Schultz and Mariane Birgitte. His nephew was the Provincial Councilor Hans Nielsen (1891–?). Since April 6, 1892, he was married to Justa Hedvig Benigne Abigael Mathiassen (1869–?), Daughter of Hans Lars Amosen (1834–?) And his wife Mariane Sofie (1843–?). The couple had several children:

Johannes Pjetursson was a hunter from Appat who moved north to Ikerasaarsuk in 1898. From 1927 to 1932 he sat in the North Greenland State Council . He died just months after the end of the legislature at the age of 63.
