Peter Naumann (sailor)

Peter Naumann (born October 12, 1941 in Hamburg ) is a former German Olympic participant in sailing.

Naumann started for the Hamburg sailing club, began sailing in 1952, and from 1959 he was active as a bow man in the Flying Dutchman class . In 1967 he switched to Ullrich Libor's boat . Together, the two won the silver medal behind the Brit Rodney Pattisson at the 1968 Olympic Regatta off Acapulco . In 1972 Libor and Naumann finished second behind Pattisson at the European Championships before Medemblik. Pattisson also won the 1972 Olympic regatta off Kiel, where Libor and Naumann won the bronze medal.

For his sporting success he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on November 27, 1968.
