Peter Raschke

Peter Raschke (* 1941 in Heidelberg ) is a German political scientist and addiction researcher.

Life

Raschke studied mathematics at the University of Tübingen , the University of Heidelberg and the University of Frankfurt and passed the state examination in 1970 . This was followed by a degree in political science in Frankfurt, which he completed in 1977 with a doctorate . From 1979 to 1984 Raschke was a research assistant at the Faculty of Sociology at Bielefeld University . From 1984 to 2006 he was Professor of Political Science with a focus on empirical methods at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Hamburg . From 1992 Raschke was chairman of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Addiction and Drug Research in Hamburg (ISD) and since 2000 he has been deputy director of the newly founded Center for Interdisciplinary Addiction Research at the University of Hamburg (ZIS).

Peter Raschke is the younger brother of the political scientist Joachim Raschke .
