Peter Reiff

Peter Reiff (born November 17, 1957 in Mannheim ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

He studied law in Mannheim. After obtaining his doctorate in 1989 and his habilitation in 1995, he was professor in Bonn from 1995 to 2000 . Since 2000 he has been professor for civil law, business law and private insurance law in Trier . From 2002 to 2007 he was a judge at the Higher Regional Court Koblenz in the 2nd main office.

His research areas are civil law (in particular liability law, inheritance law, environmental private law), commercial and company law (in particular partnership law and GmbH law) and German and European private insurance law.
