Peter Rotter

Peter Rotter (born August 14, 1955 in Schönebeck (Elbe) ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

Life

Peter Rotter was born in 1955 in Schönebeck (Elbe) as the first of five children. He attended the polytechnic high school until 1972 and then completed vocational training as a machine and system fitter with a high school diploma until 1975.

Rotter worked as a fitter at CAS Staßfurt until 1981 and as a locksmith at LPG Atzendorf between 1981 and 1993 . Since 1993 he has been a clarifier at AZV Saale Estuary Calbe (dormant).

Since 2008, Rotter has been a member of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e. V. in the Salzlandkreis . Since 2009 he has been a member of the committee for matters relating to psychiatric health care in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

Rotter is Catholic, has been married since 1981 and has two children.

politics

Peter Rotter joined the CDU in 1992. Since 1999 he has been a member of the local council of Atzendorf - Förderstedt . Between 1999 and 2006 he was CDU district chairman in Schönebeck and from 2004 to 2007 a member of the Schönebeck district assembly . Since 2007, Rotter has been deputy district chairman of the CDU district association Salzland and was a member of the Salzland district from 2007 to 2009.

In March 2006, Rotter was elected to the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt via constituency 20 ( Wanzleben ) for the 5th electoral term. There he is secretary to the President of the State Parliament and a member of the Committee on Petitions and the Committee on Social Affairs. In the state elections in 2011 he won the direct mandate in constituency 17 ( Staßfurt ) and thus managed to re-enter the state parliament.

On October 18, 2012, Peter Rotter was elected chairman of the 13th committee of inquiry of the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt (funding affair).

Since 2008, Rotter has been State Social Secretary at the CDA Saxony-Anhalt.
