Reformed Church Churwalden
The Reformed Church (also common Protestant church ) in Churwalden in Churwaldnertal is an Evangelical - Reformed church under the monument of the canton of Grisons . It stands on the eastern slope of the valley in the center of the village and was last restored in 2008/09.
history
As an ambitious new building symbolizing an asymmetrical hexagonal rock crystal, the church replaced the situation that had existed since the Reformation in 1968 , that the former monastery church of St. Maria and Michael was used as a simultaneous church by both denominations . The striking bell tower is separated from the church building by a piazza and houses four bells , the sound of which has been adapted to that of the monastery church as a sign of ecumenical solidarity in a parity village.
Furnishing
The elaborately carved pulpit contains the symbols of the four evangelists . The Lord's Supper table unites the three basic attitudes from 1 Corinthians 13 faith , love and hope in four scenes and supplements them with peace .
On September 19, 2010, the new meeting room under the church was inaugurated in a festive service for the Federal Day of Thanksgiving, Repentance and Prayer .
Church organization
The Evangelical Reformed Regional Church of Graubünden leads Churwalden, which is in closer pastoral fellowship with Parpan and loosely with Malix and Lenzerheide , within the Colloquium VI Schanfigg-Churwalden .
