Peter Sís
Peter Sís (born May 11, 1949 in Brno ) is an American picture book artist and animator of Czech origin.
Sís studied from 1968 to 1974 at the University of Applied Arts in Prague . During the Prague Spring 1968 he ran his own beat and rock music radio program and produced illustrations for a political student magazine. In 1976 the first book illustrations were made of the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales . In 1977 he studied at the Royal College of Art in London . During a work stay in the USA in 1984, Sís decided not to return to his homeland. In the same year, the poster design for the film originated Amadeus by Milos Forman .
In 2003 he was a MacArthur Fellow .
