Peter Sünnenwold

Peter Sünnenwold (born April 12, 1942 in Lübeck ) is a German CDU politician.

Life

After completing his apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant, Sünnenwold worked in the USA for two years , followed by 18 months in the armed forces .

He has been a CDU member since 1989. He has been a member of the Lübeck citizenship since 1987, initially as a successor to the independent citizens of Lübeck . As a member of parliament, he is a representative of the city in various committees and a member of several supervisory boards. On 3 April 2003 Sünnenwold was mayor in the city of Lübeck and thus after the Statute from 1946 the highest representative of the city. During this time he left his post as chairman of the Lübeck medium-sized business association of the CDU. On June 26, 2008, he gave up the office and acts as deputy mayor. He already held this position from 1998 to 2003. Gabriele Schopenhauer succeeded him as president.
