Peter Segler (born November 18, 1964 in Freiberg ) is a German writer , editor and publisher .

Life and work

Peter Segler first completed an engineering degree at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg , worked on a drilling rig and later as a technical assistant at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. In 1995 he founded the independent publishing house Peter-Segler-Verlag , in which he published works by Gunter Preuss , Sobo Swobodnik , Martin von Arndt , Knud Wollenberger , Michael Meinicke and Rainer Strobelt, among others . In the same year, Peter Segler took over the management of the freelance authors' group literary workshop "Die Pforte" (later: Authors' Association Wort , AG Wort e.V.). In 1998 he founded the magazine for contemporary literature Freiberger Readers , which until 2011 was operated by the authors' association AG Wort e. V. Freiberg was published. Peter Segler regularly heads creative workshops for writers and takes on juror activities in the field of contemporary literature in Saxony . He is a member of the Association of German Writers (VS) and publishes poetry and prose .
