Rainer Strobel

Rainer Strobelt (born March 27, 1947 in Ahlen ) is a German writer .

Life

Rainer Strobelt grew up in Ahlen (Westphalia). After higher commercial school, part-time internship as a sports journalist at a Bielefeld daily newspaper (1966) and Abitur, he studied Slavic and English studies in Freiburg im Breisgau , Zagreb and Münster from 1969 . From 1977 to 2010 he worked as a high school teacher for English, Russian, German as a foreign language and literature. As part of this activity, he also worked in the international school service and taught German as a foreign language in Croatia and was a specialist German consultant in Bosnia-Herzegovina from 2002 to 2008.

Strobelt has become known literarily since 1990 through the publication of poems (for the first time in the weekly newspaper Luxemburger Wort ) as well as author portraits in specialist journals, poetry translations and reviews. Strobelt creates personal fascination registers for the German language ( moon around moon ). He sometimes also writes in English or Croatian. Ulla Lachauer ennobles the poet Rainer Strobelt as a master of lyrical miniature ; Theo Breuer calls him a colossal minimalist .

In 2015 he had a reading appearance at Sarajevski dani poezije .

Rainer Strobelt lives in Warendorf .
