Freiberger Reading Books was a magazine for contemporary literature.

Freiberg Reading Books was founded in 1998 by Freiberg author, editor and publisher Peter Segler and was published once a year until 2011 by the WORT eV Freiberg authors' association . Published poetry and prose of German-language authors in combination with works of visual artists. With an idiosyncratic mixture of literature, visual arts and book art, the issues of the Freiberg reading books were in themselves art objects and open to experimental design ideas. Thomas Bachmann , Theo Breuer , Hans Brinkmann , Carmen Caputo , Fritz Deppert , Monika Dieck, Alex Dreppec , Peter Ettl , Myriam Keil , Stefan Heuer , Sabine Imhof , Andreas Noga , René Oberholzer and Jürgen Völkert-Marten were among the numerous published authors.

The visual artists who illustrated complete editions of Freiberg's reading books included Emmo Eulen (Freiberg / Sachs.), Birgit Wudenka McMullen (USA), Jürgen Völkert-Marten (Gelsenkirchen), Stefan Heuer (Burgdorf), Rolf Büttner (Augustusburg) , Lydia Fenzel (Freiberg / Sachs) and Fränzi Vincent (Switzerland)
