René Oberholzer

René Oberholzer (born April 12, 1963 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss writer .

Life

Oberholzer graduated from the University of Education of the Canton of St. Gallen in St. Gallen in 1987 with a secondary teaching diploma. Since 1987 he has been teaching at the upper school in Wil .

René Oberholzer began writing poetry in 1986 and prose in 1991. He first appeared in public in 1989 with readings . In 1991 he founded the authors' group Ohrhöhe. In 1992, together with Aglaja Veteranyi and Gabriele C. Leist, he founded the literary experimental group The Word Pump . With the word pump he was out and about with scenic reading programs . From 1997 to 1999, under the name of the word pump in Wil, he organized twelve “literary discovery offices ” in which various authors were guests. In addition, René Oberholzer is out and about with scenic reading programs, either alone or with the Ohrhöhe group of authors . In 2009 Oberholzer founded the «literary video clips».

René Oberholzer is a member of several authors' associations. His texts have mainly been published in anthologies , literary magazines such as the Freiberg reading books and internet magazines in German-speaking countries.
