Thomas Bachmann (writer)

Thomas Bachmann (born October 30, 1961 in Erfurt ) is a German writer , musician and graphic artist .

Life

Thomas Bachmann is co-founder of the Leipziger Literaturkreis 95. Between 1995 and 2003 Bachmann wrote texts for the weekly newspaper Freitag . In 2000 he made his directorial debut at Offtheater. Thomas Bachmann has been working as a freelance writer, musician and graphic artist in Leipzig since 2001 . He has published prose and poetry in anthologies, magazines and newspapers and can look back on 5 solo exhibitions in the field of graphics and photography. From 2008 to 2014 chanson project nurso-chanson , 2016/17 chanson project FInesse , together with singer Ines Agnes Krautwurst, since 2019 project "semitone" (both text and music).

From 1998 to 2017 Bachmann was a member of the Association of German Writers (VS); since 2012 he has been a member of the German PEN .
