Peter Ettl

Peter Ettl (born May 19, 1954 in Regensburg ) is a German writer and editor.

life and work

Peter Ettl grew up in Regensburg, studied economics at the university there and lived for a long time in Brittany and Paris as a writer and journalist. In 1972 he received the Rolf-Ulrici-Prize for young authors, in 1980 the Kulturförderpreis Ostbayern and in 1988 the Kulturförderpreis of the city of Regensburg . Ettl was the editor-in-chief of a Bavarian daily newspaper until 2001 and has been a freelance writer and publisher since then. He writes poetry, travel stories, novels and satires (39 individual titles). Poems have been translated into English, French, Czech, Swedish, and Italian. From 2003 to 2011 he published a highly acclaimed series of poetry in which u. a. Books of poetry by Michael Arenz , Theo Breuer , Marianne Glaßer , Axel Kutsch , Andreas Noga , Jürgen Völkert-Marten and Maximilian Zander have been published.

Peter Ettl lives with his wife, the specialist author Renate Ettl in the hamlet of Gschaid Marklkofen .
