Peter Sykes (chemist)

Peter Sykes FRSC (born February 19, 1923 , † October 24, 2003 ) was a British chemist ( organic chemistry ).

Sykes received his PhD in 1947 from Alexander Todd at Cambridge University . He was a Fellow of Christ's College at Cambridge University and its Vice Masters.

He is known for a widely used introductory textbook on organic reaction mechanisms.
