Peter Tereszczuk ( Ukrainian Петро Терещук Petro Tereschtschuk ; born February 9, 1875 in Wybudow , East Galicia , Austria-Hungary ; † August 14, 1963 in Vienna ) was an Austrian sculptor .

Peter Tereszczuk, who was born in Wybudow ( Вибудів ) in what is now Kosowa Rajon in the Ukrainian Oblast of Ternopil , reached its peak in Vienna between 1895 and 1925. He is known in collectors' circles for his bronze figures in the Art Deco style, which are typically patinated brown , 15–30 cm high and occasionally have ivory inserts (e.g. ivory carved faces). They are marked with the lettering P.Tereszczuk (single printed letters ) and the stamp of the foundry Tereszczuk u. Ullmann ( T and U nested inside each other as capital letters and framed in a square).

As a representative of Art Nouveau , he not only created small sculptures , but also a number of figuratively shaped objects of daily use (such as desk sets or lamps), which were handcrafted by Arthur Rubenstein and Weichmann, Wiesbaden. His bronze sculptures are traded across Europe and as far as America through antiquarian auction houses.
