Peter Twiehaus

Peter Twiehaus (born September 11, 1967 in Erlangen ) is a German television presenter and film critic . Since 2013 he has been presenting the weekly theatrical releases in the ZDF morning magazine under the heading Filmtipp with Peter Twiehaus .

life and work

Peter Twiehaus studied French and communication studies at the Free University of Berlin . During his studies, he was assistant and editor for the radio station RIAS 2. Twiehaus reported from Paris as a radio reporter, u. a. he worked at Deutsche Welle for radio and television. After a short time in a Bonn press agency, he joined the ZDF morning magazine in Berlin. Here he can be seen as a film critic to this day.

In 2001 Peter Twiehaus began his career at what was then SFB , today's rbb television. He became an author for the culture magazine Ticket , then finally moderator of the leisure magazine Wohin in Berlin . He shoots cultural contributions for the rbb magazine zibb - at home in Berlin and Brandenburg and reports on film premieres and film festivals (including the Berlinale and the Cottbus Film Festival ). Twiehaus moderated the television evening Potsdam Palace Night several times . From the end of 2005 to the end of 2009, Peter Twiehaus reported weekly with the projectionist on new cinema films. Twiehaus has been the film expert of the ZDF morning magazine since 2013, where he moderates and discusses the weekly film releases in short features under Peter Twiehaus' film tips . In 2019 he stood for the ZDF documentary Bauhaus lives! - An art school turns 100 in front of the camera.
