Peter Urbanitsch

Peter Urbanitsch (born March 30, 1942 in Vienna ) is an Austrian historian.

Urbanitsch graduated in 1960 the grammar school BRG XVII in Vienna and graduated in 1967 the study of history and English at the University of Vienna with Dr. phil. from (Dissertation on: Great Britain and the Locarno Treaties ). In 1968 he was employed as a research assistant at the Commission for the History of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and the Commission for the History of the Habsburg Monarchy at the Austrian Academy of Sciences .

Urbanitsch is co-editor and editor of the work The Habsburg Monarchy 1848–1918 and also develops other journalistic, scientific and cultural activities. He worked on the Lower Austrian provincial exhibitions in 1984 and 1987 in Grafenegg Castle ( The Age of Emperor Franz Joseph , Part 1 and 2).
