Peter Wohlfahrtstätter (born March 10, 1989 in Hopfgarten im Brixental ) is a professional volleyball player and national team captain.

Athletic career

In 2008, Wohlfahrtstätter moved from VC Brixental to the hotVolleys , then moved to the first Belgian league to Topvolley Precura Antwerp. There he reached the CEV Cup 1/4 final, the Belgian Cup 1/2 final, a third and fourth place in the championship. In 2013 he moved back to Austria to SK Posojilnica Aich / Dob . In 2016 he moved to the Polish Plus League to Effector Kielce. In 2017/18 he won his first big title in France. In the French Cup, he defeated Chaumont in the final and secured the Coupe de France with Tourcoing. They also qualified for the playoff, but were eliminated in the 1/8 final. In the 19/20 season he won his second Portuguese Supercup against Fonte Bastardo Azores and played again in the CEV Champions League against opponents such as Perugia (world star Wilfredo León ), VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa and Tours Volley-Ball . SL Benfica took part in the Champions League for the first time in the history of the club and was able to defeat the Polish champions Warsaw. The championship and the cup were no longer played because of the pandemic. Wohlfahrtstätter is currently still under contract with Benfica.

Wohlfahrtstätter has always been a regular since 2010.
