Peter Wolfgang Gaidzik

Peter Wolfgang Gaidzik (born February 25, 1958 ) is a German medical lawyer , lawyer and doctor .

Life

Gaidzik studied medicine and law in Münster and Berlin . In 1984 he was approved . From 1983 to 1986 he worked at the Institute for Forensic Medicine at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster. In 1986 he received his doctorate with the thesis The assessment of the causal relationship by the doctor in the private accident insurance to the doctor of medicine. In 1994 Gaidzik passed the second state examination in law.

Since 1995 he has been a resident lawyer, initially in Dortmund , now in Hamm , in the field of medical and insurance law. In 2000 he became a managing board member of the ethics committee of the University of Witten / Herdecke and has headed the institute for medical law at this university since 2001 . The institute is the first of its kind in Germany to be exclusively affiliated with a medical and not a law faculty. Gaidzik has been a specialist lawyer for medical law and deputy chairman of the medical law specialist committee of the Hamm Bar Association since 2005 . In 2007 he was appointed to the Appeals Committee of the German Society for Neuroscientific Assessment (formerly: Working Group on Neurological Assessment) and the Commission for Assessments of the German Society for Trauma Surgery. 2011 appointment as honorary professor. Co-author, partly also in charge, of several guidelines of scientific medical societies on questions of medical assessment.
