Peter Zinoman

Peter B. Zinoman (born December 7, 1965 in Bangkok ) is an American historian .

Life

Peter Zinoman graduated from Tufts University with a bachelor's degree in history in 1987 . His Masters in history at Cornell University followed in 1990. His PhD followed in 1996 also at Cornell. He is currently Professor of History at the University of California, Berkeley . He works there for the Faculties of History and South and Southeast Asian Studies . Thematically, he deals with Vietnamese history, literature and politics.

In 2002 he translated the novel Dumb Luck by Vũ Trọng Phụng .
