Peter Zurek
Peter Zurek (born January 9, 1943 in Linz ; † April 1, 2013 ) was an Austrian journalist .
Zurek worked from 1963 to 1970 as a journalist for various daily newspapers. In 1970 he joined the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) as a local journalist . He later became the broadcast manager of Austria-Bild and editor-in-chief of teletext. From 1984 he headed the satellite broadcasting department and in this capacity was responsible for the Austrian contributions to 3sat and represented the ORF on the 3sat management committee. He designed more than a hundred documentaries for Austrian television.
