Peter von Moos

Peter von Moos (born September 13, 1936 in Paris ) is a French Middle Latin philologist .

From 1969 to 1994 Peter von Moos was the head of the seminar for Middle Latin Philology at the University of Münster . Most of his publications on the “intellectual history” of the Middle Ages focus on communication phenomena (rhetoric, topics , consensus building, conceptual history, public, personal identity and identification) as well as literary genres and motifs (letter, dialogue, specimen, doctrines of decency). He has been a corresponding member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences since 1994 . Today he lives in Béon , France.
