Peter von Siemens (manager, 1937)

Peter C. von Siemens (born August 10, 1937 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a German industrial manager and entrepreneur from the Siemens family .

Career

Siemens was the first of two children to the industrialist Peter von Siemens (1911–1986) and the pianist Julia Lienau (1916–2008). In 1962 he joined Siemens AG in Munich and took on various functions at home and abroad. From 1980 onwards, he was a fully authorized director and later a member of the board of directors. From 1993 he represented the founding family of Siemens as a member of the supervisory board. At the end of January 2008, he was replaced in this role by the former head of the Siemens Berlin branch, Gerd von Brandenstein .

In 1987 Siemens became an honorary senator of the Technical University of Munich . He is or was a member and often chairman of numerous foundation boards, including the Carl Friedrich von Siemens Foundation , the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation , the Ernst von Siemens Art Foundation, the Werner Siemens Foundation and the Siemens Foundation .

Peter von Siemens has been married to Bettina Shift since 1966; the couple has four children.
