Peter von Tresckow

Peter von Tresckow (* 1936 in Berlin ) is a German caricaturist , draftsman and author .

Life

Peter von Tresckow first completed an apprenticeship as a cartoonist at Hans Fischerkoesen's company . He then studied graphic design at the Kassel Art Academy under Hans Leistikow . Then he was art director of the Frankfurt advertising agency "CPV International" and for a short time employee of the satirical magazine Pardon .

He then worked as a freelancer for a long time and worked as a freelancer at IBM , Deutsche Bank , Bertelsmann and other international companies. During this time von Treskow was also a lecturer in caricature and illustration at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach am Main .

Von Tresckow was the “author, designer and producer” of several ARD environmental spots “Nature doesn't need us, but we need nature!”. From 1980 until today he works for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , for which he regularly draws illustrations, such as the series “Tresckow's Nachbörse” and the “Sketches from Alaro” published in the FAZ magazine, which were later published as a book.
