Robert Dwayne Gruss (born June 25, 1955 in Texarkana , Arkansas ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Saginaw .

Life

Robert Dwaine Gruss was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Davenport on July 2, 1994 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of Rapid City on May 26, 2011 . The Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis , John Clayton Nienstedt , donated him episcopal ordination on July 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Samuel Joseph Aquila , Bishop of Fargo , and Martin John Amos , Bishop of Davenport.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Saginaw on May 24, 2019 . The inauguration took place on July 26th of the same year.
