Petr Duchoň (born September 6, 1956 in Brno ) is a Czech politician and since 2004 a member of the European Parliament for the Občanská democická strana , as a member of the Group of the European People's Party and European Democrats .

Duchoň studied physics at the Masaryk University in Brno. He then completed postgraduate studies in vacuum technology at the ČVUT University of Technology in Prague and a study visit to Heidelberg .

Duchoň's political career began as the deputy mayor of the Brno district of Bystrc. Later he was elected to the city council of Brno for the Občanská Demokratická strana. From 1998 to 2004 he was the Lord Mayor of Brno.

From 2004 to 2009, Duchoň was a member of the European Parliament when the Czech Republic joined the EU.
