Petr Muk (born February 4, 1965 in Český Krumlov , † May 24, 2010 in Prague ) was a Czech singer and musician .

Life

He studied at the civil engineering school center in Budweis . Since the age of 15 he played and sang in various punk and underground bands. From 1985 to 1993 he was a leader in the band Oceán , later, in the years 1992 to 1996, parts of the band formed the group Shalom .

In 1997 he released his first solo album and appeared as an independent interpreter, especially in musicals (Rusalka, Jeanne d'Arc, Galileo).

In 2004 Muk released the album Oh L'Amour as part of a concert tour . This contains titles translated into Czech by the group Erasure , which toured England as the opening act with the group Oceán.

Muk died on May 24, 2010 in Prague. The cause of death is stated to be asphyxiation from self- vomit - alcohol and drugs against his disease bipolar disorder were found in the blood . He was buried in the cemetery in Český Krumlov .
